The Contenders: The Hangover II (2011) and Bridesmaids (2011)
In The Blue Corner...
Proven box office performer The Hangover returns for a second bout with The Hangover II, bringing back the three main faces of the Wolf Pack but changing the location to Thailand.
And In The Red Corner...
First-timer Bridesmaids may be making it's debut, but it's also been making waves with critics, who dubbed the ensemble comedy 'The Hangover for Chicks'.
First Round
Essentially it's rinse and repeat in The Hangover II as Stu (Ed Helms), Phil (Bradley Cooper) and Alan (Zach Galifianakis) swap a baby for a monkey.
Bridesmaids introduces loveable loser Annie (Kristen Wiig) as she royally effs up maid of honour duties for best friend Lillian (Maya Rudolph).
Second Round
Mr Chow (Ken Jeong) proceeds to steal every scene in The Hangover II as we're propelled from one action-packed vignette to another.
The truly indescribable Megan (Melissa McCarthy) proceeds to steal every scene in Bridesmaids, starting from the moment she describes a dolphin seeing into her soul.
Third Round
The likability factor of the male characters in The Hangover II plummets as Stu drunkenly bangs a she-male prostitute while no-one seems to care about future doctor Teddy's randomly stolen finger.
The likability factor of the female characters in Bridesmaids increase as they projectile poo all over a classy wedding boutique and ground a flight to Vegas.
Fourth Round
Random Musical Guest! The Hangover II sees the return of an unfortunately tattooed Mike Tyson moonlighting as a wedding singer.
Random Musical Guest! Bridesmaids delivers to the king hit with a surprise (sorry) appearance of 90s darlings Wilson Phillips performing everyone's fave, Hold On!
Winner!
Bridesmaids takes it by a mile with a funny take on female friendship that will have every chick in the audience chortling knowingly.
